"As an athlete, I am excited to be able to wear sportswear that includes patterns that represent where I am from."

Knowing who you are, where you’re from, where you’re headed and having the right tools to get there is a phenomenally empowering combination. And Fatoumata Jallow, professional basketball player, has had all of that to her advantage. Fatoumata grew up in Sweden, but her Gambian/Guinean culture, rich traditions, and language were reinforced throughout her childhood. Her childhood also included running track and field, but the love for basketball reigned. Fatoumata played for Bryant University, the Guinea national team and has signed to the Gisa Lions (Halle, Germany), her first pro team, for the 2022-23 season. As she proceeds in her career, Fatoumata is committed to the young people of Gambia & Guinea, by bringing resources to and making basketball more accessible for them. She knows there is enormous potential ahead, for the children and for herself.
